Dr. Shri Chopra at Dental Design of Wheaton is a general dentist that offers family and cosmetic services in Wheaton, Maryland, and the DC Metro area. Dr. Chopra earned her dental degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 2005. She then completed an intensive residency in AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) from Lutheran Medical Center, currently NYU Langone Dental Medicine, in Casa Grande, Arizona. After completing her training she moved to New York City where she was in private practice for 10 years at one of Manhattan’s premier dental offices. She moved back to Maryland in 2017 to raise her family and start a new practice. Her office is located where her late father once provided medical services as a family practice physician to the residents of Wheaton and Montgomery County for over 30 years. She is continuing her father’s legacy of healthcare in the community while creating one of her own. She not only brings her Big Apple experience to her practice, but also her passion to get to know her patients in a comfortable environment – to create a long lasting relationship built on trust and excellent care. Dr. Chopra’s practice is one of comfort, where patients are treated like family. She has set her sights on becoming the go-to dentist in the community and the surrounding suburbs that families trust. Dr. Chopra is a proud member of the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Society. A proponent of technology and always keeping her practice forward thinking, Dr. Chopra is an active member of Spear, a world-renowned continuing education program dedicated to implementing the latest techniques and advancements in dentistry. She is also a new member of the MDIB (Mommy Dentists in Business), a nationwide group of female dentists who are business owners and mothers raising their families. The camaraderie with other female dentists in the profession is of one she is most proud. When she is not attending to her patients, Dr. Chopra can be found with her husband and three beautiful children. She loves traveling, international cuisine, gardening, and attending live music events.
